Conference ticket sales phases
Conference tickets for PyCon Africa will be sold in two phases, with increasing prices closer to the event:
Standard Rate: Sold at the regular rate of USD 20 - USD 120
Late-Entry Rate: Closer to the conference, we will switch to late-entry ticket rates, if we still have tickets left. These will cost around 40% more than the standard rate (USD 28 - USD 171)


Please note that admission to the tutorials/workshops are included in the conference ticket price although prior registration is required as seats are limited.

NOTE: Extra charges of USD3.00 are made by service providers when purchasing the tickets.

Standard Ticket

(Sales ends 13th July 2019)

We have the following three categories of standard rate ticket prices for the conference tickets (5 days of various activities such as talks, workshops/tutorials, sprints and lots more goodies including swags, feeding and so on):

  • Business conference ticket: USD 120  (for people using Python to make a living or if your employer is paying for it)  
  • Individual conference ticket: USD 50  (for people enjoying Python from home or if you are paying from your own funds)
  • Student conference ticket: USD 20  (only available for students and postdoctoral researchers; please     bring your student card or declaration from University, stating your affiliation, starting and end dates of your contract.
  • Sharing conference ticket: USD 50  (This is a special ticket for members of the community who would like to pay for a fellow Pythonista to attend the conference, who would otherwise not have been able to.)

The standard conference ticket includes admission to the PyCon Africa 2019 conference on the tutorial days, main conference days (August 8th-9th) and sprints days (August 10th).

Late Ticket

(Sales starts from 14th - 24th July 2019)

We have the following three categories of Late rate ticket prices for the conference tickets (5 days of various activities such as talks, workshops/tutorials, sprints and lots more goodies including swags, feeding and so on):

  • Business conference ticket: USD 171 (for people using Python to make a living or if your employer is paying for it)
  • Personal conference ticket: USD 70 (for people enjoying Python from home or if you are paying from your own funds)

  • Student conference ticket: USD 28 (only available for pupils, students and postdoctoral researchers; please bring your student card or declaration from University, stating your affiliation, starting and end dates of your contract)

  • Sharing conference ticket:

The Late conference ticket includes admission to the PyCon Africa 2019 conference on the tutorial days, main conference days (August 8th-9th) and sprints days (August 10th).

Please note that we do not offer refunds for late entry tickets.

What does my ticket cover?

The price of the conference tickets includes:

*Admission to the conference on the tutorials days, main conference days and sprint days.
*More than 30 talks, exciting keynotes, interesting panels and access to the exhibit Sprints, hallway sessions, meetings with friends are all included for free :-)
*Breakfast, Lunch & Coffee Breaks. (A buffet lunch and two coffee breaks (morning and late afternoon) per day are offered during the conference and sprint days.)

Free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is available during all days. You'll be able to use it with your laptop, mobile phone or other mobile devices.
Swags
Every full conference participant will receive the official conference T-shirt (we have multiple sizes available) and some other souvenirs offered by our sponsors.


The price of the conference ticket does NOT include Accommodation or passes to social events such as tours or Dinners.
