Kweyakie Blebo is a seasoned IT professional with a background in cybersecurity risk, governance, and compliance, beginning her career as an IT auditor with a major banking group. This background laid the foundation for her subsequent roles in predictive analytics as a data scientist and machine learning engineer, contracting for startups across Africa, North America, and Asia.
Kweyakie is currently the Co-founder and Programs Director of Because She Can (BSC), an NGO that has transformed the lives of over 5000 African women in tech, empowering them to start and sustain successful careers in the industry. Her commitment to the inclusion of minority groups in technology extends beyond women, as she volunteers her expertise with initiatives at the intersection of technology, diversity, and social good. Notably, she is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion in Scientific Computing Committee of NumFOCUS.
